The Ecoshower is a water saving device that diverts the cold water from the shower to a toilet where it can be used for a flush. The device allows the user to turn the shower water on and not have to worry about wasting any water. The cold water is automatically diverted towards the toilet, and does not come out the shower head until the water has reached a desired temperature. The cold water that runs to the toilet is stored in a holding tank above the toilet (which would eventually be hidden in the wall or otherwise made aesthetically appealing) and is used for flushing. The device uses a temperature sensor and Arduino microcontroller to switch an electrically controlled valve for water diversion.  The Ecoshower will save an average of 2.25 gallons of water per person per day. This amounts to a staggering 820 gallons of water saved per person per year.
