Blake and I created a self-watering plant wall. This plant wall was originally designed to “bring the outside in”. We noticed that there were no plants inside the school and wanted a way to change that. This plant wall it consists of Irish moss, which only grows up to about an inch so there’s no need for it to be trimmed. It also consists of a moisture sensor, it has a moisture level of 0-1,000, which let’s you know when the moisture level of the soil becomes too high or too low. When the level is too high (too moist) the water pump will turn off, when the level is too low (too dry), the water pump will begin to pump water. The Garduino is good if you're a person who likes plants but won’t have them in the house because there a lot of work and you simply don’t have the time to maintain the needs. It’s also good for decoration it brings a nice earthy feel to any room in the house. It would be a great addition to a school or other public building, and also to someone’s home.
